We must do everything we can, to prevent age related diseases and live a healthy and happy life. Here are few natural anti-aging tips which will help you to look and feel younger.

The first and most important thing is Diet

Diet plays a very important role in helping us to look and feel young. One must have a balanced diet. What we eat reflects on our skin and body as we are what we feed our body. First develop a regular eating habit like eating at a proper time. Include lot of raw vegetables and fruits in your diet. Stay away from junk food, processed food,  fried food and refined sugar. Substitute sugar with honey, molasses, dates and fruits.

Include  five servings of fruits and vegetables in your diet. Red, yellow, orange, fruits and vegetables and greens are rich in antioxidants which helps us to delay aging.

Green tea is rich in antioxidant and also strengthens our resistance against diseases. It is a wonderful and natural anti aging food.

Include almonds, olive oil (use it as a cooking medium)  fenugreek, in your diet as they are rich in antioxidants and helps to slow down the aging process.

The Indian gooseberry is a rich source of vitamin C and has revitalizing effects. It helps to improve body immunity and is an amazing anti-aging food.

For younger looking skin, make sure you include fruits and vegetables rich in vitamins C and vitamin E as these vitamins help in controlling and delaying aging of the skin.

Natural source of vitamin C- Lemon, strawberries, oranges, broccoli, bell pepper, papaya, cauliflower, mustard greens, Brussels sprouts etc.

Exercise regularly: Do any form of exercise which you love as exercise helps to improve blood circulation.

Massage : It is the skin which shows our age. So keep your skin hydrated and  moisturized. Massage your skin with sweet almond oil or coconut oil once in  a fortnight. Massage helps us to feel relaxed and energizes  us. It improves blood circulation and keeps your skin wrinkle free. Do not massage when your stomach is full or when you are sick.

Mental Health : Always keep yourself engaged. Read a book, do crossword puzzles, sudoku to keep your brain active. Enjoy friendships, foster good  relationship with family members, learn a new hobby, maintain interest as  these will help to reduce stress and make you feel happy.Be optimistic in life and learn to forgive others. Everyone wishes to live a healthy and happy life, but very few really take efforts. Only when one is ill, does he knows the value of good health. Nature has provided us with a variety of food, which we can include in our diet in its natural form. Make sure your diet is rich in  fiber, has fruits,vegetables and “good fat” such as nuts and seeds.( sesame seeds, flaxseeds etc) A balanced diet is not only good for overall health but also gives a glow to your skin and rejuvenates the body. They help flush out unwanted toxins. Find a list of few fruits and vegetables below which can give you a healthy and glowing skin.

Oranges are rich source of Vitamin C. They work as cleansers and improve the skin and supports the immune system. Orange peel powder mixed with rose water is said to be effective in curing pimples and acne.

Carrots are rich source of vitamin A and are good for the eyes and the skin. They are one of the richest source of beta carotene. Carrot juice if taken in the morning on an empty stomach is very beneficial. It develops immunity, prevents premature aging and has anti-cancer properties. They help to keep the skin soft.

Beetroot purifies the blood and is rejuvenating. It is considered to be helpful for anemic persons. It does wonders to your skin.

Grapes help to  prevents dryness of skin and it purifies the blood. Its juice can be applied to get rid of wrinkles under the eyes.

Tomatoes contain iron and is rich in vitamin A. The lycopene found in tomatoes  protect your skin from sun damage. It combats cancer as it has a high amount of antioxidants.

Watermelon cools our body and are excellent cleansers. They are rich in water content and keep the skin hydrated.

Cucumber cools our body, work as astringents, cooling and brightening agents of the skin. Its juice can be used in natural face packs also. Regular application of cucumber juice on the face prevents pimples, blackheads and dryness of the skin.

Papaya is good for the skin. It gives relief in case of constipation and it combats cancer. Papaya cleanses the body completely. It delays aging of skin. Raw papaya juice if applied externally helps to cure pimples and also reduces wrinkles.

Gooseberry is rich in vitamin C. It increases the body’s resistance against diseases. It has medicinal properties and is excellent for the skin and hair. It rejuvenates our body. One or two gooseberries (fruit preserved in honey) can be taken daily as it is beneficial in preventing aging. Any food with vitamin C is good for the skin.

1.Eat the right food : Nutritive food is very important to lead a healthy life. It is important that your diet is rich in fiber and is low in fat. As far as possible, go for baked or steamed food instead of fried food. Include lot of fresh salads, sprouts, and fruits in your diet. Go for healthy organic products. Include hand pounded brown rice instead of white rice. Avoid refined flour, white bread instead include whole wheat flour, brown bread, oat bran in your diet.

2.Water : Drink lot of water as it flushes out toxins from our body. Drink clean and boiled water.

3.Exercise : Exercise regularly for at least 3-4 times a week for 30 minutes. Whenever you are going to a near by place, make it a point to walk. Exercise helps a person to lead a healthy life both physically and mentally.

4.Learn something new : Develop a new hobby or engage in your favorite activity. It keeps you refreshed.

5.Yoga and meditation : Yoga is one of the best ways to keep yourself fit and healthy both physically and mentally. Certain yogic techniques helps to reduce stress. Meditation calms and relaxes the mind.

6.Clean Habits : Avoid taking alcohol, tobacco and caffeine.
